Labor Day at the Ranch

This post is brought to you courtesy of Aunt Ann and Cousin Whitney who actually documented Labor Day at the ranch this year...as opposed to yours truly who probably just ate lots of snacks and hung out with Peanut. :)  As always, we had a GREAT time, with lots of relaxing, eating, laughing, and just enjoying the beautiful Texas outdoors.  We were so excited to have our newly-married cousin Audrey with us but missed her hubby, Jason, and cousins Ashley, Charlie, and the other Shoup kiddos.  Looking forward to getting us all together at Thanksgiving!

This is the beautiful garden where Audrey and Jason were married...the vines have gone nuts!  It's stunning.

 J making his famous guacamole.

Me cooking up some, I'm just sure-of-it, killer black beans.

P checking out Cecil from the other side of the door. :)

What are you doing in there?

I'd like to go out there, please...

Cousin Whitney and P.  Love this picture! :)
Whit is SO sweet to P...he definitely loves her.

Sweet, sweaty boy on the porch.

 Eating some lunch.

 Hi.

Hanging out with Grandpa Ron.

More sweaty fun on the porch.

There were 100s of these tiny frogs all around the pond...one found its way up to the house...and onto P's head - with the help of a cousin and and aunt who will remain nameless...but only 1 cousin and 1 aunt took pictures...so you do the math - I'm just sayin'. :)

Girls in the kitchen before dinner.

We love spending time out at the ranch.  A BIG "thank you" to Aunt Jan and Uncle Kevin for opening up their home to us...it's such a blessing to have a place to escape and enjoy time with family! :)
