While most people associate Dec. 31st with New Year's Eve, in our house, we wake up on Dec. 31st excited to celebrate the Peanut's birthday. :) Today was no exception!
Unfortunately, dad had to go to work early this morning, but as soon as P woke up, we called and talked to our daddy, who was excited to talk to his now-three-year-old. P also got to face-time with Share Share and Papa and Aunt KiKi, so he was feeling the birthday love early on! (He also got texts and phone calls throughout the day wishing him a Happy Birthday! What a loved little boy!) Per his request, we went and got donuts (and mommy got Starbucks :)) and started the singing and blowing out of the candles early in the day.
Followed up breakfast with a little Pete the Cat.
Singing along...
How is my baby 3 years old!?
We went over to Share Share's to play for a little while and enjoyed our quintessential popsicle.
(BTW - This picture provides fantastic documentation of the anti-haircut we received a week ago today...I swear the kid has MORE hair on his head now then he did before the haircut. :/ No bueno.)
Share Share downloaded a really cute app for the iPad (Elmo Loves ABC's), and P really liked it!
Birthday lunch of champions: grilled cheese and cold berries.
After a good nap, daddy came home, and we went and got some Mexican food for dinner...one of P's favorites. We were very entertained when P specifically requested Mi Cocina (that child has good taste), but he survived when we went someplace else. :) Here he is enjoying some rice (another favorite).
After dinner, P requested some "white ice cream" (after saying "no" to vanilla or chocolate) :), and of course, we had to sing happy birthday and blow out a candle...5 times. :) He kept saying, "Blow the candle again?" :)
Yummy white ice cream. :)
Sweet smiles with daddy.
Goofy ice cream mustache pic.
Our little family.
WE LOVE THE BIRTHDAY BOY!!! :)
