1) Yesterday P took a 3.25 hour nap and woke up smiling.
2) Went to dinner at Chuy's and did our part to help celebrate National Margarita Day (who knew!?)
3) Went to said dinner with dear friends and their girls who we haven't seen in forever. So fun to catch up!
4) Our child was a rock star at dinner - he was on his best behavior, ate all his food (including some carrots and apples alongside the chips and rice), and we were able to have conversations with other adults at the table because he was self-sufficient. :) So nice!
5) Went over to our friends' house after dinner and watched our child dance and run around and play with yellow balloons with our friends' kids. It's hard to imagine life before these kids came along.
6) Watched Top Chef - Final, Part 1. I love Top Chef.
7) Had a good night's sleep.
8) J had a step-down week, so he was done with his bike ride by 9:15, and we were able to enjoy a family breakfast of pancakes and eggs.
9) I tried out a random Pinterest recipe for "healthy pancakes" - 2 egg whites, 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 a banana, 1 tsp vanilla, a dash of cinnamon, and a dash of salt. Blend in the blender until smooth. Put it on the griddle...and they're pretty good. :) (Not to worry, they were just for fun to try - we thoroughly enjoyed Trader Joe's Pumpkin pancake mix for the majority of our breakfast!)
10) J and I laughed til we were both in tears while sitting at the breakfast table. P didn't know what to think. :)
11) Went as a family to the library. J played with P while I looked for books. :)
12) Found out that the library has quite the collection of Elmo DVDs. Hooray!
13) Found an "Elmo and the Orchestra" CD that has Big Bird teaching Elmo about different instruments and sections of the orchestra with famous classical music clips. He loves it, and every time he hears Elmo's voice he says, "El-mo."
14) Enjoying the beautiful sunny weather!
15) Tried out another recipe from Pinterest - A Chocolate Peanut Butter Nutter Butter concoction that looks good (and should taste good based on the leftover mixture on the spoon that I couldn't let go to waste). :)
16) Made a sopapilla cheesecake for a wedding shower tomorrow, and it smells divine. :)
17) Found a Tim Keller podcast on iTunes and have been learning while cooking.
18) Going to enjoy an evening with dear friends tonight that we haven't seen in a while.
19) Thankful for parents who call and say, "How come you need a babysitter tonight, and you didn't call us?!" :)
20) God is good. We have SO much to be grateful for.
Happy Saturday!
